About Us

The first Methodist service in Heald Green began on 14th October 1928 at Long Lane Institute, used by local men as a club (where the social club now stands). In 1935 a new Methodist chapel was built on the site where the existing church is today. In 1963 the church as we know it today was built. So formal Christian worship in Heald Green has been taking place now for almost a 100 years.

Our congregation today has a faithful body of Christians working together to provide for the church and the wider community.

The complete history of our church compiled by Helen Morgan can be read here
